  The Argo Mine Tour was super cool, imagining the sound of the machinery was mindboggling and the thought of kids working the mine blew us away. Allí was an amazing guide, and for every question she had a quick and concise answer - this girl knows her stuff! We will be back, next time with family.

  Josh was such an informative and funny tour guide. Great sense of humor and got me good with his "dad" jokes. I learned so much and couldn't stop talking about it to all my friends. Highly recommend this is a great afternoon experience.

  Excellent tour! Our tour guide was very thorough! He even had a designated picture spot and happily took photos for the group!

  Touring inside the Argo Tunnel, and sifting for gold and gemstones. Our guide eas very knowledgeable.

  Our tour guide had so much energy and knowledge of the mine. His examples were animated and descriptive. I couldn’t believe some of the things he told us, like kids working in that dangerous building as young as 5!

  Kaleb was a fantastic guide. He really personalized it and made us feel welcome and comfortable. He is also quite the comic. We really enjoyed our tour.

  I planned a ski trip to breckenridge for my 14 year old son and I. We had a late flight out of Denver and he loves the show gold rush so I made a reservation for a tour on our way back. From the outside The mill is grand and the town of Idaho springs is just amazingly cool too. We arrived early and looked at all of the cool mining equipment outside before checking in for our tour. We went inside and were greeted by a nice girl who turned out to be our tour guide of the mill too. Her name is Allii and she gave us a really great tour experience. She is proud of the mill, it’s history and it shows. She took us through the mill and it’s many levels and also to the mine shaft. Along the way she told us stories of the past, showed us how some of the tools worked and made the experience super fun for everyone in our group. The tour concluded with panning for gold. Alii brought out some gold pans filled with pay dirt and showed us the proper way to pan. We did our best and both my son and I got 4-5 flakes each. Never seeing a gold flake in person before today He was super excited. Thanks to Allii our Argo mill tour was awesome and memorable. My son says he wants to already go back again to pan for more gold. After the tour she recommended a bbq place with a pig out front for us to eat lunch. The service was great and so was the food. The Argo mill tour is one I would do again for sure and would recommend to anybody that’s passing by Idaho springs on I-70. Thank you Allii for the great tour!!

  There is so much history at this mill! So much to learn and see. It was exciting getting to see the opening of the tunnel, and have a demonstration of how the mill ran. Tour guide incorporated humor throughout to make the history even more fun to learn. It’s a high recommendation, especially with the littles! Downfall was amount of stairs and no alternative around that. However, I’m excited to see how the future plans of expansion and bringing more to life comes together in the next coming years! Definitely will be back.

  Andrew was an excellent tour guide! With a clear passion for geology and a wealth of knowledge about mining, Andrew taught us so much. He was funny and engaging and held our kiddos' attention through the entire tour.
